I'll be honest: I didn't always work with small businesses. For years, I worked at big accounting firms where clients were just numbers on a spreadsheet. We'd meet once a year, file their taxes, and disappear until next April.
It felt wrong.
I saw so many small business owners—hardworking, talented people—stressed out about their finances. They'd come to me in a panic every March, shoeboxes full of receipts, no idea if they were making money or losing it. And I'd think: There has to be a better way.
So I started Accounting SB.
My mission is simple: help small business owners sleep better at night.
That means:
- Being available when you need me (not just during tax season)
- Explaining things in plain English (no "debit this, credit that")
- Proactively looking for ways to save you money (not just filing what you give me)
